This time it is not a study of the Bible but an introduction to the Old Testament. The first and most neglected part of our Bibles. So I thought it would be worthwhile to spend a few days learning something about this section of the Bible. But not only to learn but also to read and perhaps even enjoy these texts. I must admit from the beginning that I am very fond of the books of the Old Testament [especially the historical books] and my aim is to convey this same appreciation to you. I pray that God will make it possible.
Attached to this e-mail is the first unit of the "course". Read it carefully, there is no need to hurry. A word of warning, it has been prepared as something really personal without any expectation of being especially brilliant or scholarly. Just a friend talking to his friends about something he loves.
